Baked oatmeal donuts are a fun and healthy way to start your day.

Who says donuts aren’t healthy? Baked donuts are the perfect solution. Packed with lots of nutritious ingredients. A quick breakfast for busy mornings.

Baked oatmeal donuts make a great breakfast.

Baked oatmeal donuts are made with wholesome ingredients. A fun and delicious twist on traditional donuts. Perfect for grab and go breakfasts.

What is your favourite way to start the day? Cereal, toast, or muffin? Perhaps you are one of those people that skip breakfast altogether? I am guilty of this myself, however, I never start my day without coffee, and perhaps an apple oatmeal muffin. I will say pancake muffins are a great way to start the day.

I guarantee if you try this chocolate strawberry oatmeal, breakfast just might turn into your favourite meal of the day. You will want to try this recipe for baked apple oatmeal too. If you like muffins for breakfast, these cranberry bran flake muffins are a must-try!

Freshly baked donuts on a cooling rack.

How about a breakfast banana split? Dessert for breakfast sounds like a plan to me. Cake for breakfast works too. This old-fashioned cinnamon coffee cake is the perfect breakfast cake.

Oatmeal is such a great ingredient to work with. From a hot cereal to start your day, or baked into tasty treats, it is nutritiously delicious. Have you tried oatmeal pancakes or overnight oats?

    Easy Oatmeal Breakfast Donuts

This is a super easy baked donut recipe. Full instructions are in the recipe card.

Baking donuts is a much healthier alternative to the classic fried variety. If you can bake muffins, you can bake donuts.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Donut batter in the pans ready to go into the oven.

Fill the donut pans and bake. That’s it. You can even make these ahead of time, perfect for meal prep.

    Suggestions / Recipe Tips

    • If you don’t already have some (affiliate) donut pans, it’s always a great excuse to get more fun kitchen tools.
    • I find using a (affiliate) large decorating tip and pastry bag makes filling the pans a little easier, but I have just used a spoon too.
    • Store donuts in a container, they will keep for several days.
    • You can warm them slightly in the microwave, super delicious.
    • They freeze well, making them perfect for meal planning.
    • Any oil will work, and you can use plain yogurt as well.

I was practicing intermittent fasting until I got pregnant, so now I’m having breakfast first time in the morning! I do appreciate easy breakfast like this, and I’ve been trying to add more oatmeal and healthy cereals into my diet!

I absolutely, positively cannot skip breakfast. If I do. . .my blood sugar is shot for the rest of the day. So. . .the hubby and I start our day with a big bowl of oatmeal sweetened with blueberries and nuts. . .no sugar. So simple. I want to start adding protein powder into mine but the hubby has been waking up before me and whipping up our oatmeal (plus my protein powder is still packed in an unknown box). These oatmeal donuts are lovely. I’m loving that you used Greek yogurt in them. I’m wondering how easy it would be to sneak some protein powder in. Hmmmm.
