Mocha Coffee Yogurt is easy to make. A healthy and nutritious way to combine coffee with yogurt.

Thick, creamy, and the perfect blend of coffee and chocolate. It’s like a double dose of coffee in the morning. The best yogurt for breakfast ever!

    Best coffee flavoured yogurt recipe.

Rich coffee, a touch of chocolate, and creamy yogurt—all in one spoonful. It’s the perfect way to start your morning and a great afternoon pick-me-up, too. This easy recipe gives you a caffeine fix with the added health benefits of yogurt.

Going to the coffee shop and having a cafe mocha latte is one of my favourite things to do, along with a slice of coffee cake too. The chocolate and coffee flavour combination is so delicious.

I even love adding coffee flavour in baking. Chewy Cookies are seriously addictive. Need a great gluten-free treat? Baked Chocolate Chile Mocha Donut are fun to make.

Greek flavoured yogurt with instant espresso.

If you are a coffee lover, then the combination of coffee and chocolate in this chocolate latte is sure to please. The secret ingredient is hot chocolate milk.

    Coffee And Yogurt Ingredients

    You only need 3 things!

    • plain yogurt
    • instant espresso powder
    • cocoa powder
Ingredients to make coffee flavoured Greek yogurt.

I got this idea after tasting a store-bought version. You will be amazed at how easy it is to make.

If you have ever tasted the Vietnamese yogurt coffee drink called Sua Chua Cafe, you know how delicious yogurt in coffee can be. Now, switch it up and put coffee in yogurt.

Making Mocha Coffee Yogurt At Home

This recipe is super easy to make. Full instructions are in the recipe card.

    1. Measure all the ingredients into a bowl.
    2. Mix.
    3. Eat.
    Healthy Greek coffee flavoured yogurt.

You can easily adjust the mocha flavour by increasing or decreasing the amount of espresso powder and cocoa powder you use.

    What Is Skyr?

A super thick, high protein, low-fat yogurt. Classed as a fresh sour milk cheese, it is made with skim milk.

A traditional Icelandic breakfast would be mixing equal amounts of Skyr and porridge (oatmeal). It can be mixed with fruit as a healthy dessert option. I have used it in place of sour cream too.

Other great options are Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla flavoured) or any non-dairy yogurt you like.

Mocha coffee yogurt make with instant coffee.

    Add-Ins

Plain yogurt is tart for sure. I like it, but hubby does not. I find the vanilla flavoured is the perfect sweetness for me.

To make it sweeter you can add a bit of:

    • honey
    • maple syrup
    • coconut sugar
    • agave nectar

I find just the addition of fresh berries will sweeten things up. You can add:

    • strawberries
    • blueberries
    • raspberries
    • blackberries

It doesn’t have to stop with berries. Other fruit will work too. Try some of these:

    • bananas
    • mango
    • peaches
    • nectarines
    • pineapple
    • apples
    • pears
    • fresh figs

If you haven’t been shopping, and fresh fruit is not in the house, you can use frozen fruit (although I find frozen is more tart). If that doesn’t work, add some:

    • dried figs
    • dates
    • a bit of any type of fruit jam
Morning yogurt with coffee, fresh berries and granola.

Homemade granola is the best. For another topping idea try this Easy Muesli Recipe. If you are in the holiday season Festive Crunchy Granola is a great choice.

Talking about delicious breakfast ideas, have you tried Smashed Avocado on Toast? I could eat this for any meal of the day.

Coffee and a parfait all in one? This is my kind of recipe! My favorite yogurt depends on the mood, but I’ve been really enjoying Vanilla Greek yogurt lately, it’s got a really good flavor and consistency. Have you tried chia in your yogurt? it’s something new that I’ve found that’s really good!

With flavors like this, yogurt can make such a wonderful and indulgent dessert that’s as satisfying as ice cream but makes you feel much better after eating it.

Icelandic yogurt happens to be my favorite Gloria. It is far milder than Greek yogurt and not slimy like the once-upon-a-time traditional yogurt we used to find flooding the shelves. And I completely agree with you that yogurt is one of those foods that can easily trick the mind into thinking that you are having dessert when in fact you are eating something healthy. I generally go for plain yogurt and doctor it up with fresh fruit and cinnamon but I love how you used the cocoa and espresso powder for a nice chocolate-y fix.

I am so totally into coffee and chocolate! What a great way to enjoy the taste and yet get all of those good vitamins and bacteria into our system. If I have that for breakfast I now only get my nutrition but my coffee fix! Now that is a win-win all the way around.

Oh this really does look delicious Gloria! I am totally addicted to coffee but never thought to add it to yogurt. I make my own yog in the Instant Pot so I have plenty to play with each week. I would also have it with that lovely granola and fresh berries too
