I am a coffee lover. I drink it every day, several times a day. I don’t function well till I have my morning cup of freshly brewed joe. Having an afternoon latte is my favourite way to have a bit of “me time”. Adding a delicious little treat with it doesn’t hurt either. I’m not picky, brownies, tarts, cookies, all work for me.

When it comes to alcoholic coffees, they are in a league of their own. Whether they are cold or hot, specialty coffees are always a hit (remember drinking age only here). With so many variations, there is never a dull moment in your coffee drinking world. Now that I think about it, some bourbon iced tea is sounding like a great option too.

Speaking of bourbon, have you tried it in a grilled cocktail? Try your bbq bartending skills making a Grilled Nectarine & Bourbon Patio Punch. The perfect drink for a sunny afternoon.

    FAVOURITE COFFEE DRINK

If I had to choose my favourite coffee drink, I would say a latte. Something about warm steamy milk that is so relaxing. Add in some flavours like vanilla, cinnamon or seasonal favourites like gingerbread, and I am a happy camper.

Making lattes at home is not as difficult as you may think. The most important part is quality coffee. If the coffee is crap, it’s all downhill from there. Grind freshly roasted beans for the absolute best flavour.

If you have some local coffee roasters in your area, pay them a visit. You just might be surprised at what you will learn from these coffee masters. We love ordering coffee from Reunion Island. The coffee is always fresh and quickly delivered to my door. Lots of different varietals offering light to dark roast. They even have a subscription service too. We ALWAYS order WHOLE BEANS and grind them just before using. These beans really do make the best cold-brewed iced coffee.

WHAT ALCOHOL GOES IN  ICED COFFEE?

Alcoholic coffee drinks come in MANY choices. You can use so many different spirits to spike your coffee. Alcohol works well in both hot and cold coffee. Here are a few tasty suggestions:

    • whiskey
    • kahlua
    • brandy
    • Irish cream
    • rum
    • cognac
    • vodka

During the Christmas season, I don’t even know how many Rum & Eggnog Lattes go out of my kitchen. Coffee and alcohol is a winning combination.

My husband has been trying out some different brands of bourbons. The aroma of the vanilla/caramel tones is so appealing. Checking out his supply, Jefferson’s Reserve was my choice of the day.

Bourbon mixed drinks aren’t the only place to use this tasty spirit. Have you ever tried bourbon fudge? OMG, this is the ULTIMATE good gift during the holiday season.

Summer is finally here, so some iced coffee with alcohol is name of the game for now. He was thrilled when I handed him this Boozy Bourbon Iced Coffee Cocktail. Simple to make, easy to drink.

How can you go wrong with great coffee, excellent bourbon, whipped cream, and some chocolate and caramel drizzle? Sounds like dessert in a glass to me. Nothing like ending your meal with a booze-infused after dinner coffee. I hope you give this simple coffee cocktail a try soon.

It is a nice drink, especially on the patio in the summer.

Oooh this looks fabulous! And I could have it before, during, AND after dinner! I’m not a big bourbon person unless it’s mixed in with other stuff, and this is exactly the kind of drink I would devour

I love everything about this, and especially the idea of making it with locally roasted coffee. We have some great ones here in Princeton! The bourbon, whipped cream, and sweet toppings must just take this whole thing to the next level. What a perfect grownup treat!

I’m going to have to add this to my alcoholic coffee cocktail repertoire! I’ve done one with cinnamon whiskey, but this one looks so much better!!
