If you like ending your meal with a specialty coffee, this Boozy Bourbon Iced Coffee After Dinner Drink is dessert in a glass!
Are you a coffee lover? Do you like to spice it up with some alcohol? For all those iced coffee, bourbon fanatics out there, sipping one of these after your meal will be delightful. Make it with homemade cold brew for more intense flavour.
I am a coffee lover. I drink it everyday, several times a day. I don’t function well till I have my morning cup of freshly brewed joe. Having an afternoon latte is my favourite way to have a bit of “me time”. Adding a delicious little treat with it doesn’t hurt either. I’m not picky, brownies, tarts, cookies, all work for me.
When it comes to alcoholic coffees, they are in a league of their own. Whether they are cold or hot, specialty coffees are always a hit (remember drinking age only here). With so many variations, there is never a dull moment in your coffee drinking world.
FAVOURITE COFFEE DRINK
If I had to choose my favourite coffee drink, I would say a latte. Something about warm steamy milk that is so relaxing. Add in some flavours like vanilla, cinnamon or seasonal favourites like gingerbread, and I am a happy camper.
Making lattes at home is not as difficult as you may think. The most important part is quality coffee. If the coffee is crap, it’s all downhill from there. Grind freshly roasted beans for the absolute best flavour.
If you have some local coffee roasters in your area, pay them a visit. You just might be surprised at what you will learn from these coffee masters. We totally loved visiting Trebilcock Coffee Roasters. These guys sure know what they are doing, and we came home with some mighty fine beans too.
We don’t have a fancy espresso machine, (it is on the top of my wish list) we use a hand held frother (affiliate link) to make the foam. Now if only I could figure out how to do some awesome latte art I could really impress my guests.
ALCOHOLIC COFFEE DRINKS
The choice here is endless. You can use so many different spirits to make these delicious drinks. During the Christmas season, I don’t even know how many Rum & Eggnog Lattes go out of my kitchen.
My husband has been trying out some different brands of bourbons. The aroma of the vanilla/caramel tones is so appealing. Checking out his supply, Jefferson’s Reserve and Woodford Reserve were my choices of the day.
Summer is finally here, so some iced coffee with alcohol is name of the game for now. He was thrilled when I handed him this Boozy Bourbon Iced Coffee. Simple to make, easy to drink. I just used cold strong coffee, and bourbon. You can always sweeten if necessary, but the drizzle does take care of that for most people.
How can you go wrong with great coffee, excellent bourbon, whipped cream and some chocolate and caramel drizzle? Sounds like dessert in a glass to me. Nothing like ending your meal with a booze infused after dinner coffee.
