Suggestions / Recipe Tips
- Mayonnaise can be homemade, but I went the easy route and used store bought. Regular, light or vegan all work in this recipe.
- Sun-dried tomatoes in oil works best. If you opt to use dried tomatoes, you should soak them in water first.
- Fresh basil is so fragrant. Dried basil will work, but the taste will not come close, and you will have to adjust the amount as well.
- Adjust the amount of ingredients to your liking. More tomatoes, less basil, more oil, whatever you like.
- If you want a smooth and creamy texture, you can use an immersion blender.
- Store any leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
- Experiment with other flavours to create more mouthwatering mayonnaise spreads.
