Once made, it will last for days in the fridge. Great for making cream cheese pinwheels, my go to quick and easy appetizer for parties.

    Suggestions / Recipe Tips

Fresh chives add so much flavour. You can use dried, but you will have to adjust the amount (use less) and the flavour will not be as robust. Give other herbs a try. Basil, thyme and rosemary would be great. Adjust the amount to your liking, the more you add the stronger the flavour will be. You can also replace the chives with green or red onion.

Cream cheese of any kind will work. Regular, light or vegan options. If you prefer, you can also use whipped cream cheese. I like it to be room temperature for easier mixing. If you are using block cream cheese and want to thin it down, add a spoon or two of Greek yogurt, plain yogurt, sour cream or milk.

Black pepper can be replaced with garlic powder. You can also add any other seasonings you like. Try a dash of Italian or Greek seasoning.

Store in a sealed container for up to 5 days. Cream cheese can be frozen, but it will be grainier when thawed.

Use this versatile herb cream cheese so many delicious ways:
