    Suggestions/Recipe Tips

The best type of corned beef for this recipe? If you have leftover beef brisket, that would be awesome. I used deli sliced. Canned corned beef is popular. You would have to cook it a little longer to make sure it is warmed up enough to eat.

If you would prefer to use another meat, roast beef or pastrami would work well in this recipe.

Don’t have fresh Brussels sprouts? That’s ok. You can use thinly sliced cabbage or even packaged coleslaw or broccoli slaw.

Grainy mustard in this recipe adds a nice flavour and texture. Feel free to use regular mustard, horseradish mustard, or hot mustard. They all will work.

Delish. That hash with the addition of brussel sprouts was loaded with texture and taste. What a great way to really enhance frozen hash browns.

Love that this is a simple 30 min dish! Do you think it’s possible to veganize it? I’m tempted to try it with tempeh because all the flavours sound so good!

I love cabbage… in general. But sometimes it feels like it’s going to be a bit too much work to get it to pop in a dish the way you want, you know? So I have to say, I LOVE the idea of swapping it out for Brussels sprouts! Nice bold flavours, with a little extra kick of green (which, I hope you’ll agree, sounds suitably Irish!). Cheers!
