Who doesn’t love the true holiday classic? This Rum & Eggnog Latte is great to enjoy during tree trimming, present wrapping…or just to celebrate the holiday season. ? Check out my Buzzfeed post!!
Eggnog is such a traditional holiday drink, and we love having it around to indulge over the holiday season. Rich and creamy, topped with a bit of nutmeg and spruced up with rum, a Rum & Eggnog Latte is our favourite way to enjoy this holiday classic.
We love lattes in this house, and we certainly don’t need any excuse to make them…but holidays are special and we love to celebrate them, so we have to kick our lattes up a notch. Eggnog and rum mixed with espresso does the trick!! ? Lattes are perfect when I wrap presents, trim the tree, or just sit and relax by the fire and watch the snow fall.
If you have never made a latte you won’t believe how easy it is, you will be a barista in no time. Three ingredients (coffee, rum and eggnog) and you are good to go!! You can use either freshly made espresso, or if you don’t have a way of doing that, the instant espresso powder will do the trick.
Place your eggnog in a pot and heat to just under boiling. Make your espresso. Place some rum in your mug, add the espresso. Froth the eggnog (I use an aerolatte), add the eggnog to the mug, top with froth…sprinkle with nutmeg…ENJOY!!
Although I do love Starbucks, I save a whole lot of money making lattes at home, and besides…adding booze is fun….and not available at Starbucks (in Canada anyway).
Celebrate the holidays with a Rum & Eggnog Latte….CHEERS!! ❄️ ? ?
