    Suggestions/Recipe Tips

No peeling is needed in this baked pear recipe, but feel free to peel if you prefer. They should be on the firm side.

Core the pears with a melon baller, spoon, or sharp knife.

Flavoured balsamic vinegars are fantastic to work with. I used espresso in this recipe. Give maple, cinnamon, fig, or chocolate a try. Combine flavours for more tasty fun.

Honey needs to be warmed to drizzle unless you are using liquid honey. For this recipe, I used chocolate honey. There are lots of great honey flavours too, but plain is always a great choice.

Yogurt is a great topping. I used vanilla Greek yogurt. Any flavour will work. Ice cream is always a delicious option.

Serve warm or cold. Pears can be easily reheated in the microwave or wrapped in foil in the oven. You can make these ahead of time as well.

Leftovers should be kept refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Freezing is not recommended.

Add leftovers to oatmeal, muesli, yogurt, smoothie bowls, or salads.

    FAQ’s

What are the best pears for roasting?

Anjou, Bosc, Bartlet, Red, Forelle, they all will work. Be sure they are on the firm side.

Does refrigerating pears make them last longer?

Place ripe pears in the fridge to slow down the ripening process. They will last longer.
