Is a change of diet on your radar? This Hemp Heart Green Smoothie is for you. Dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar-free and vegan friendly. Get your New Year’s resolutions started in the right direction.

Nutrient-rich hemp protein shake delivers an energizing boost. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or post workout. Hemp seeds are the perfect source of protein for this green goddess smoothie.

Hemp heart smoothie perfect for clean eating diets.

Nourishing hemp smoothie is rich in plant-proteins, leafy greens and fruit. Nutrient-packed and so easy to make. If you are looking for the ultimate clean green smoothie without yogurt, this is it.

Healthy eating is my new plan. How about you? I know I am looking to change my diet. Hemp hearts fit right into plant-based meals on a budget.

If you are like me, smoothies are a great, easy way to get tasty nutrition into your body. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, and post workout too.

Sometimes I need a quick healthy snack. No-bake energy balls are perfect. Made with nuts, seeds, and superfoods. Even the kids can help to make a batch.

Green smoothie ingredients layered in a blender.

Clean eating is making a comeback these days. Replacing processed foods with whole foods like vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds and healthy plant-based proteins and fats. Avoiding artificial ingredients, added sugars and excess sodium can be a challenge for many people. Making small adjustments is a good starting point.

How To Make A Hemp Heart Green Smoothie

It doesn’t get easier than throwing everything in a blender. Blitz, pour, and drink! Easy as 1-2-3. So much nutrition with really no effort.

For this green hemp smoothie recipe, I combined:

    • spinach
    • apples
    • strawberries
    • hemp hearts
    • water
    • ice
Overhead shot of smoothie ingredients in a blender.

Spinach is such an awesome green superfood, and it makes this low-calorie smoothie such a nice colour.

Fibre from the apple, sweetness from the strawberries, and plant-based protein from the hemp hearts make this simple smoothie recipe great for any time of day. You won’t believe how calorie-wise it is too.

Even my hubby who loves sweet stuff didn’t even need any additional sweetener. He is such a dessert person. Thank goodness my breakfast banana split keeps his sweet tooth at bay.

All the ingredients blended into a smoothie

    Best Greens For Smoothies

This is where you can have some variety. I used spinach but don’t stop there. Other great options would be:

    • kale
    • Swiss chard
    • romaine lettuce
    • beet greens
    • collard greens
    • celery

You can also switch out the fruit in this wholesome smoothie recipe. Any type of berry is great. Try swapping out the apples for pears.

    Hemp Heart Benefits

Have you tried hemp hearts? Little nutritious gems packed with protein. A great way to get an energy boost.

Easy to add to recipes or just eat as a snack on their own. They come in a variety of flavours too. They contain omega 3, omega 6 (GLA), fibre, protein, arginine, phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamin E, and magnesium. You can even buy hemp protein powder and hemp milk too.

Do hemp hearts have CBD? No, they do not. CBD lives in the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant, not in the seeds. Hemp oil is not the same as CBD oil, which contains cannabinoids.

With Valentine’s just around the corner, you don’t have to throw your new-found healthy eating out the window. My Hemp Heart Cookies are perfect to celebrate with. Gluten-free delicious cookies dipped in dark chocolate.

If you want to start your day with chocolate (like many people do), Hemp Chocolate Smoothie with Raspberries and Pomegranates might be just what you are looking for. Nutrition can be delicious.

We are always looking for healthy snacks. Homemade granola bars are perfect for after school, packing in lunch boxes, or taking on hikes.

Yes I have used them in cookies, like the Hemp Heart Cookies linked in the post. Also as a topper of salad, yogurt, oatmeal. So many ways too enjoy them.

I have a smoothie every morning for breakfast, but I haven’t been able to get into the green smoothie thing. I think just the thought of drinking green vegetables is hard for me! But I like the addition of apples to this one

I’ve been drinking green smoothies for years now- like way before it was trendy. People used to look at me as if I was drinking the most disgusting thing on the planet. This recipe looks fantastic!

Yum this looks delicious!! I’ve seen them as both hemp hearts and seeds and have some in my cupboard right now! As you said, it’s snowy out there so I’m not always in the mood for a smoothie but this looks so good I’ll have to make it!
