Almost Homemade Pizza is easy to make and so much cheaper than takeout. Customize a store-bought pizza, bake, and enjoy!

If you are looking for pizza on a budget, this recipe is just what you need.

Almost homemade pizza for dinner tonight.

We love making pizza at home. Have you ever cooked it on the bbq? So good! We enjoy this French pizza for a little change of pace. A fun watermelon pizza is a great dessert for a hot summer day.

RECIPE and INSTRUCTIONS for this semi-homemade pizza can be found at the bottom of this post.

Sometimes the pizza urge happens, and I didn’t plan ahead to make some dough. The next best thing is takeout, right? Wrong! This speedy cheat pizza is so easy and delicious.

Pizza and toppings ready to assemble.

    Cheat Version Of Homemade Pizza

Honestly, it does not get easier than this. We are all looking for some cheap cooking ideas, the cost of groceries is through the roof.

Takeout and delivery is not the only option if you don’t have time (or want to spend time) in the kitchen. This recipe is perfect for a cheap and quick family pizza dinner.

Pizza ready to go in the oven.

All you have to do is grab the cheapest frozen pizza at the grocery store. You can even use a fresh pizza from the fast food section as well. Either will work.

Next, pick out some great toppings. This is where the fun part kicks in. Everyone can build their own pizza.

Add the toppings, bake, and enjoy. The easiest shortcut pizza ever. If you are looking for a budget-friendly meal idea, this is it. Express pizza at home.

    Recipe Suggestions/Tips

Bought pizza can be fresh, frozen, and any size you like. In fact, mini pizzas are really popular with kids.

Toppings are where the magic happens. Pile on whatever you like. Roasted olives are a delicious addition.

Semi homemade pizza cut and ready to eat.

Pizza scissors are the best invention ever for easy cutting. Here is an affiliate link if you would like to check them out.

Leftovers can be wrapped in foil and easily reheated in the oven. I prefer this method over the microwave, the crust does not get flimsy.

Even though we love making pizza from scratch, this is a great option (and we use it often). Give it a try and see for yourself. Everyone will have fun building their own cheater pizza.

Oh how we love pizza – I have no problem whipping up the dough before work and leaving it to prove in the fridge all day rather than buying one but I love your recipe. Great toppings. Pizza is fabulous as you can really make it your own!

That s a great cheat! My kids could et pizza ALL the time but we can’t afford to order in that often. This could be a great solution.
