Healthy Granola with coffee and chocolate is so easy to make. Delicious artisan granola made at home with simple ingredients. If you love the flavour of mocha, this is for you!

Do you love granola? We sure do. What I don’t like about the majority of store-bought granola is the added sugars they contain. The gourmet/artisan varieties do a much better job of not adding additional unhealthy ingredients, however, they are expensive. Making your own at home is so easy.

Homemade healthy granola recipe with chocolate and coffee.

This simple granola recipe is made without added sugar or oil. Made from scratch with customizable ingredients, and the addition of chocolate and coffee.

I love easy-to-make granola recipes. You can make them with ingredients you like, and no added fillers or artificial flavours. You can use granola in lots of delicious ways too. I love this granola so much. It is the perfect topping for my Mocha Coffee Yogurt recipe.

Granola is such a staple in my kitchen. There are so many ways to enjoy it, such as eating it as a cereal, adding it to yogurt, putting it in smoothies or using it to make healthy treats and snacks.

During the holidays we love this festive granola recipe, and it makes a great food gift too. Need some great granola snacks? I got you covered:

    • No Bake Granola Bars

I am a huge Jamie Oliver fan and have several of his cookbooks. When I got my copy of (affiliate link) Everyday Superfood I was so intrigued by his granola dust recipe, that I had to experiment and make my version. This is my inspiration from Jamie’s original recipe.

    • Store and enjoy.
Roasting nuts and seeds to make homemade granola.

    Suggestions/Recipe Tips

Large flake oatmeal works best, and gluten-free oats are a great option.

Seeds can be a combination of anything you like. Hemp hearts, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, and flax seeds are all great choices. Create your combination.

Nuts can be any variety you like. Almonds, walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts or pistachios. The combinations are endless and all will work.

Granola ingredients in a food processor.

Dried fruit of any kind will work. Cranberries, blueberries, cherries, figs, or dates are great options.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. This will last for several weeks.

Serve as a stand-alone meal with some milk or non-dairy milk. Use it as a topping on yogurt too.

Cacao powder can be replaced with regular cocoa.

Coffee can be fresh grounds, instant coffee, or espresso powder. Adjust according to your taste.

Using a food processor is the easiest way to grind up the ingredients. You can also leave this as, and the mixture will be chunky. Alternatively, you could place it in a freezer bag and smash it with a mallet into finer pieces.
