Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh tomatoes (roughly chopped)
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (approximately)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Wash and roughly chop tomatoes.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Let sit for at least an hour so flavours combine.
  • Slice baguette and spread with olive oil or herbed butter.
  • Place under the broiler to crisp.
  • Remove from oven and top slices with bruschetta mixture
  • Bruschetta is ready to eat, but you can also top with grated cheese and return to broiler to melt
  • ENJOY!!

Notes

The perfect appetizer or hors d'oeuvre. Easy to adjust the amount whether you are serving a nice dinner for two or feeding a crowd.
