In reply to Katharina. Once the puff pastry is cooked, freezing is not ideal. All the flakiness disappears. These will keep for a day or so, but not for a week.

Want to make these for an up coming life group I am hostesting, just wondering if anyone has tried to freeze them? I am never sure how many will show up when the night actually comes. I will meet with a different group the following week, I want to serve any left overs. Thanks for the recipe.

Carole, I sent you an email…but in case you did not get it I suggested some marshmallow fluff…it would resemble whipped cream/ice cream. Hope this helps.

In reply to Pamela McKinnerney. I did not use crescent rolls, my best guess is that you leave the rolls in one solid piece and cut stips that way. I would make the size similar.

I make these for Thanksgiving dinner and they are the prettiest thing on the table. I use crescent roll pastry and apricot jam. I leave the skins on so the roses look like roses.
Delicious, pretty and sooooooooooooo easy.

I am going to make these this weekend for our anniversary. He loves apple pie so this will be a fun thing to try instead. They look beautiful. I love the suggestion of using butter and cinnamon that someone else suggested and maybe a drizzle of caramel. Thank you for your recipe!
