Looking for a great snack? This Banana Chocolate Roundup is the perfect choice. All natural, no sugar, gluten free. Healthy and delicious!
What do you do with all those leftover bananas? Try this healthy snack alternative. Banana Chocolate Roundup (as I call it) is a great, fast, NO COOK pudding….and my grandson’s favourite. I will admit I often buy extra bananas to ripen just so I can make this for him, which he requests often.
Trying to add healthy options in our food choices can be a challenge. You know the saying, “if it tastes that good it must be bad”. Finding alternatives is not always easy, and lots of times they don’t taste great. This Banana Chocolate Roundup does taste good, is healthy and super simple. Never throw out ripe bananas and avocados again.
All you need are bananas, an avocado, cocoa powder and peanut butter. This is a no cook, no sugar added recipe. Healthy does not have to mean bland. This creamy smooth chocolate peanut butter delight is perfect anytime of the day.
Using your food processor, place the bananas, avocado, peanut butter and cocoa. Puree till smooth and that’s it!! Quick and easy. Now all you have to do is cover and chill it.
At this point you can either chill the whole batch in a bowl, or use individual serving bowls. When ready to serve garnish with chopped peanuts and extra slices of banana. You can really use any fruit or nuts you please for the garnish.
Try experimenting with other nut butters, they all would work here. Adjusting the amount of cocoa to lessen or enhance the chocolate taste is an option as well.
Next time you have a bunch of ripe bananas, try making a healthy snack/dessert option for your family. Delicious, nutritious, quick and simple. Everyone has time for this in their lives.
